About the Course

HOPE is the foundation of ethical peer support. In this course, you’ll learn how to inspire hope, hold it when others cannot, and share recovery stories ethically, all aligned with the CPSS Code of Ethics. Through interactive lessons, reflective exercises, and practical tools, you’ll gain the skills to model recovery authentically, communicate hope safely, apply the 3-Part Ethical Storytelling Framework, and make a personal commitment to practice hope responsibly in your peer support role. This course is designed for Peer Support Specialists, recovery coaches, and anyone dedicated to ethical, recovery-oriented practice.

Hi! I’m Gisselle Galloway, founder of Over the Influence Recovery and a Peer Recovery Coach. I’m excited to guide you through this course on the ethical practice of HOPE! With professional experience in peer support, training, and recovery-focused programs, I’m here to help you strengthen your skills in inspiring hope, communicating ethically, and sharing recovery stories responsibly.
