About the Course

The SUD Peer Support Blueprint: 1-Week is a live, skill-based training designed to equip current and aspiring peer support specialists with the tools, confidence, and professional language needed to thrive in recovery settings. Built on lived experience and aligned with California Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist (CMPSS) standards, this course provides practical strategies, interactive activities, and real-world frameworks to strengthen your ability to support clients effectively. Over five 90-minute live sessions, participants will learn core peer support skills, communication techniques, ethical practices, and crisis response strategies, while earning CE credits and preparing to make a meaningful impact on the lives of those in recovery.

Hi! I’m Gisselle Galloway, a Peer Recovery Coach and founder of Over The Influence Recovery. With over 20 years of lived experience in recovery and hands-on expertise training peer support specialists, I’m excited to guide you through this intensive peer support course. My passion is helping current and aspiring peer supporters gain the confidence, skills, and professional tools they need to thrive in recovery spaces. Together, we’ll turn your lived experience into professional impact, strengthen your peer support practice, and empower you to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those you serve.
